Related?

Do you think John and Aiden are related? Behold the aftermath of Aiden with a screwdriver...

These are just a few things. He also removed the front from one of our box fans, but fixed it before I could get a picture.

Once I realized that he had found a screwdriver (and I discovered this by finding him attempting to unscrew the deadbolt from the front door), I told him that it was OK to use if he stayed in the living room with me and only worked on toys. No doors, no plug ins, no appliances, no electronics (he REALLY wanted to work on the TV), no lamps, no clocks. He really went to town on his toys, as you can see from the first two pictures.

Now, the last picture needs of bit of explanation. It must have happened before I figured out that he had a screwdriver, but how he came about taking this apart, I'll never know.

I had given both boys haircuts and was getting them in the tub. I turn the bath knob and it comes off in my hand. I started to blame the cruddy apartment for everything falling apart when Aiden says with a completely straight face, "I wonder where the screw went." Uh huh. Like he had NOTHING to do with it, yet somehow the screw just....disappeared.

So, you think he just might be a Minthorne? :^)

Future Zookeeper

For bedtime tonight, I read one of our old Animal Baby copies from November. Nathan likes them not so much for the stories, but because he likes it when I point to each and every animal and say, "What's that?" so he can answer me. But his answers tonight were a little off...

Me: What's that? (Pointing to a warthog)
Nathan: A walrus!

(Pointing to a moose)
Nathan: A Muse!

(Pointing to a Blue Footed Booby Bird)
Nathan: A booby!
- You might want to work on clarifying that one a tiny bit further, kiddo.

It's A House

And that house has an approval! It's a miracle! But before we get too excited, we're not under contract yet.

There was always a 2nd bank involved, but they had approved everything from the very beginning, so they weren't anything we had to worry about it. But now that the first bank has FINALLY approved our purchase, it has to been sent back to the 2nd bank so they can sign off on it - basically just acknowledging that the first bank has approved it. Yeesh, I hate short sales.

Anyway, that should get back to our agent by Friday and we should be able to sign the paperwork and be under contract by this weekend. There's a slight chance it could get pushed to Monday, just because we are up against the weekend here, but the end is in sight!

I can barely believe it.... Just continue to keep it in prayer and send us good thoughts!!
